She is a contortionist, a &#8220;snake-woman&#8221;. Coming from a modest background, she grew up in the country near Berlin in the GDR. At eighteen she came to West Ger\u00acmany to learn the art of contortion with her future partner, Leslie Chester. Together they became famous around the world. After twenty-two years of collaboration Leslie Chester died.<br \/>\nAlone in her life as well as in her work, Lorna Chester sought a new path. In addition she had a serious car accident.
